META | NBCUniversal “Peacock” Streaming Launch

 

From 2019 to 2021, I led Meta’s partnership with NBCUniversal for the launch and acquisition strategy of its streaming platform, Peacock, overseeing creative marketing, audience growth, and performance optimization across Facebook and Instagram. At a pivotal moment in the streaming wars, my team worked hand-in-hand with Peacock’s executives to shape its brand messaging framework, define its audience segmentation, and guide paid and organic social strategies that would drive sign-ups at scale.

I led multiple executive workshops with Peacock’s leadership to restructure campaign architecture and implement innovative testing frameworks that significantly reduced cost per subscription while increasing reinvestment potential. Working closely with their internal marketing and analytics teams, I advised on budget allocations, creative optimization, and launch sequencing for both the Peacock brand and its Originals portfolio—ensuring consistent resonance across entertainment, sports, and news verticals.

Our strategy helped Peacock surpass its first-year subscriber goal, achieving over 26 million sign-ups in 2020 and establishing the service as a major player in the streaming landscape. The collaboration not only strengthened NBCU’s acquisition efficiency but also demonstrated how strategic creative partnerships and data-driven innovation can accelerate platform growth in a highly competitive category.
