META | Native@ Resource Group Lead (2018–2019)

At Meta’s Austin office, I had the privilege of serving as Lead for the Native@ Employee Resource Group, representing Native and Indigenous employees and helping strengthen cultural visibility within the company. As a member of the Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribe, I approached this role with deep purpose—focusing on both internal community-building and external engagement with Native organizations nationwide.

I led initiatives that celebrated and educated colleagues on Indigenous culture, including the coordination of Indigenous People’s Month programming across the Austin campus. Partnering with Meta’s culinary and facilities teams, I introduced Native-inspired meals and recipes that brought cultural storytelling to life through food. These activations became a model for other ERGs looking to authentically integrate culture into corporate spaces.

Externally, I built bridges with academic and professional organizations, including co-hosting a career Q&A with Stanford University’s AISES (American Indian Science and Engineering Society). I provided mentorship, shared pathways into the tech industry, and developed resource materials to support students’ transition into professional careers. The experience reinforced my belief that representation and inclusion are not side initiatives—they’re central to how innovative organizations grow, connect, and lead with purpose.
